whos the real monster in frankenstein

victor is the one that should be labeled as the monster. he portrayed actions that shows it, such as his selfishness, he is of his own nature. he holds back the truth behind the murder of William costing Justine her life. he also abandons his creation cause he is scared that someone will find out he is the one that created this monster. he also displayed his selfishness when he admitted to himself that he is responsible for the death of Justine, he says its his fault because he created the monster, not that he hid very important information.

Victor has a unbelievable drive to find what he needs in order to create a human and to find answers about the world. Victor is a man of his own he believes things that many of us people wouldn’t believe. He has the mind of Monster. Victor believes that “a new species would bless me as its creator and source; many happy and excellent natures would owe their being to me. i might in process of time renew life where death had apparently devoted the body to corruption”

Victor has abandoned not just his creation, he abandoned his family without a letter sent within several years. as seen in the passage it says, “..forget those friends… whom i had not seen for so long a time” also Victor could’ve easily taught the creature moral and help him adjust to the human environment . but he doesn’t he abandons him which angers the creature. victor left the creature for years on its own and the creature struggled for those years , the years went by and the creature did not recognize his own creator. victor blamed the creature for his own mistakes and victor wanted to kill the creature that HE created.

the real monster is victor without a doubt. creating the creature could’ve went two ways. and victor chose the hard way. he (victor) is the reason for all the deaths that happened.
